For studio sessions, in my opinion, BAREFOOT looks BEST in photos with the style of outfits I provide in the studio wardrobe.
The dresses are soft flowy neutrals or muted colors, and when you wear shoes that are a darker color, it is the first thing my eyes go to in the photos. And we want the focus to be on you, not your shoes! The studio flooring and background are white, and with light color outfits, darker brown oxford shoes stand out because of contrast.
If prefer not to be barefoot (which aren't going to be super noticeable) when I take pulled back photos, then here are some examples of shoes, that won't be obtrusive in photos. Look for white, very light beige with light beige or white soles, or light grey shoes. Click the links below to shop. Keep it simple and Comfortable with A White or Neutral henley Tee or button down shirt & Chinos or khaki pants
If mom is borrowing a dress from the client wardrobe, then I recommend dad wears a white, ivory, cream, beige, or light gray shirt, that way it is much easier to coordinate with whatever dress she picks out. Neutral colors will also complement any color wraps you choose for you baby.

Selfie Leslie - FYI: the short length dresses are very short, so you have to be comfortable with that, or get a longer length. And some dresses are low cut, but if you layer them over a cami that takes care of that.

When searching for outfits for girls, check out the rompers or dresses. Look for solid colors with textures, buttons, pleats, or other details that add interest to outfits.
