For ALL family members, choose neutral colors, such as white, ivory, cream, tan, beige, taupe, gray, or other muted pastel colors for newborn sessions. Solid colors with texture work best for mom, and complement the wraps and outfits that your newborn will wear in the studio. This will give your portraits a timeless look and feel. Avoid bright colors, navy blue, and red, because they can create an unwanted color cast on your baby's skin. Neutral colors look best and allow us to maintain beautiful skin tones in the photos. We want the focus to be on your baby and your faces. For this reason, all family members should avoid plaid shirts, stripes, and bold printed patterns. Texture patterns, like lace look great. And some dresses with a soft two tone or muted pattern look nice too. Dads should wear neutral colors as well. A simple long sleeve henley tee, sweater, collar shirt, or solid color dress shirt would be perfect. In my opinion, BAREFOOT is BEST for my style of photography if you want to achieve the look you see in my portfolio. More details on this HERE, if you really want to wear shoes.
