Emma’s first birthday was on Saturday. It’s hard to believe that it has already been one year since Christine and Mike had her newborn session in the studio. Emma is sweet and liked to smile when I played “peek-a-boo.” It was my first session since mid-March, when businesses closed in Maryland. Distancing takes some getting used to, when normally I would be closer to my clients and bonding with the kids. For now, I just try to entertain them from a distance doing my silly things. Fortunately, my favorite lenses are still the same, and allow me to stand back but still achieve nice perspectives. Emma’s big sister, Abby, was on point with her self-directed poses and she did a fantastic job! She was so cute and funny. Abby was actually very good at positioning herself, so all I had to do was take the picture. We had perfect weather and it was a lovely evening for a walk around the garden, followed by a cake smash. Emma was very pleased by her cake. Happy Birthday Emma!
