A Valentine’s Day Present

Sometimes the best gift arrives right around a holiday. When we did these newborn portraits we included a tiny felted heart in some of the photos. It wasn’t until I was editing the gallery that I remembered that a heart was perfect for the timing of this little one’s arrival. I’m sure Valentine’s Day will have an extra special meaning to her parents since she was born the day after. I can relate, since my niece was also born on the same day many years ago. And though my son was born in mid December, I’ve always called him my Christmas baby. It made that holiday even more special with him in my arms.

Sometimes newborns “smile” for me just at the perfect moment and you’ll see what I mean when you view the first image in this gallery. As I noted in my Instagram post, I couldn’t help but squeal with delight when we captured this first image. Here’s a few images of this lovely family.
