I had the pleasure of working with this sweet family again in preparation for their new bundle of joy who will be arriving this April. Fortunately, we had the session three weeks ago, before life was going to change for everyone. The term, social distancing, has become part of daily conversation. This was my final photo session before I began staying at home indefinitely. I think I will always remember it for being a happy memory prior to all of the emotions that came with the COVID-19 pandemic. Cathy and Allen are both physicians, and we are blessed to have people like them who care for others, especially during this time.
Cathy and Allen have two adorable boys and another one on the way. We had some fun laughs during their session, especially when Allen added his own touch to the poses. I won’t include those images so he can keep his silliness a secret. 😉 As a family photographer, I always appreciate it when my clients can laugh and be themselves during the session, because it really shows in the photos. Cathy and her boys have a special connection, and I’m sure she will be a fantastic mother to three of them.
Although it wasn’t officially spring yet, the warmer temperatures this year brought plenty of blooms to our surroundings at the Brookside Gardens in Wheaton, Maryland. I was pleasantly surprised to see the many daffodils and pretty flowering trees throughout the gardens. The little pops of color were a nice addition to the already beautiful landscape.
I can’t wait to meet their new baby when this pandemic is behind us. Like the spring flowers come and go, one day we will look back on this difficult time and be able to look forward to new beginnings.
