Armando Daniel is here! I was so thrilled to meet this little Ar”man”do, as his dad calls him. Armando gave me good eye contact and some fun newborn facial expressions, but fell sound asleep after being swaddled. Newborns love a nice, cozy swaddle. Being only one week old, he easily curled up for poses too. He gave us plenty of smiles during the session, including one of my favorite images of him wearing the teddy bear hat. I love my job! And it is such a joy to photograph newborn sessions, especially for families with whom I have worked with before. I first met this sweet family for holiday mini sessions in 2018 and they also had family portraits taken in the spring and fall. This is a great way to get to know my clients and when newborns arrive, I get to see them again. They know me already, and I think that is helpful for parents to feel comfortable during the newborn session. Not only is it exciting for the parents to have their new baby; I am genuinely happy too. 🙂
