If you have an older baby, you know that once they started to crawl or walk, that it was over. No more staying in one spot. This makes relaxing with a baby, a thing of the past, and you’ve now entered the “I can’t get anything done” phase. All eyes must be on this precious little human who has little, to no common sense. 😉 You may feel like you can never sit down and rest while chasing a toddler around. I remember this quite well with my three children.

When baby #2 arrives and you are going to have newborn photos taken with your toddler, it is no easy task! Most toddlers don’t want to sit still. So before you come for your photo session, I’ll give you some tips and tricks to help prepare “big sister or brother” for the photo session. I have my “go-to” poses, but not every toddler will ease into them so well, for various reasons. So we have back-up plans. Sometimes “big sister or brother” will surprise us! That was the case with my friend, Ashton here. She was happy and active, and we thought we might try a different pose with her first. Long story short, she ended up loving my “go-to” pose and surprised us. Mom said that, come to think of it, Ashton was really into laying on all of her baby brother’s mats and seats, so it made sense that she wouldn’t mind lounging on the donut poser with her baby brother.

I first met Ashton for her newborn photos a couple of years ago, and now she was here with her precious baby brother. Check out some of the cute images from Connor’s newborn session.
